What began as a love of cooking grew into a thriving catering business, and Maria's reputation soon spoke for itself. Today, she is one of marblehead's most sought-after caterers, known for bringing her food and hospitality to celebrations and gatherings throughout the community.
In 2026, Maria took the next step in her journey, taking ownership of the Driftwood in Old Town Marblehead - a beloved local institution with nearly six decades of history. With deep respect for what the driftwood has meant to generations of locals, Maria is proud to carry its legacy forward while bringing her own experience and vision to the space.
Now, with Maria's Gourmet Cafe, she is bringing that same passion to the everyday ritual of coffee and good food. From carefully prepared espresso and coffee to fresh sandwiches and pastries, Maria's goal is simple: to create a place where quality, warmth, and a genuine love of food come together.
